↝ May day holidays are not only meant to be stay indoors but for rest and either meet with friends and families......we are not exception as our holiday was not boring. We visited ARGROTECH, auntie Ruth's cousin's husband,Kurt Roppel wielding shop, where he tests x-rays for wielded metals(eg. metal tubes used in the chemical industries), if they meet standards to be used. We knew the height,voltage and current settings for various types and thickness of metals.↝ We then went to the two(2)hydro power station including solar generation built on the Rhein river between Switzerland and Germany ...

and we were taken through by a technician named Hr.Rychener. There are various hydro power stations in different Kantons(Regions), but only at the Rhein is two, shared among the two countries....wow!...... the turbines used for the generation there is the Francis turbine(old turbines) and the Straflo turbines
now used more...they are all operated automatically at the station even though they have manual as backup ......they have four(4) Francis turbines and Six(6) Straflow. The six are in use now and the Francis turbine is used when the river level is very high......and the power generated is 26.3MW with an efficiency of 94%.....for the hydro station at the Rhein......that's ........
↝ We had the opportunity to sit in one of the boats that travel on the Rhein river for relaxation and fun......and that carried our day.....huhuuuu.............they had this mechanism that could level the boat to a certain depth of about six(6) meters on the river and of a huge gates opening for the boat to pass under the walkway bridge....fantastic////
